Lewis is an award-winning actor, screenwriter, and theatre-maker, known for co-writing and starring in the acclaimed live-action short film Ryan Can’t Read. The short marks his debut as a screenwriter and is currently making waves at several prestigious BAFTA and OSCAR-qualifying film festivals worldwide. Ryan Can’t Read recently won the Grand Jury Prize at the Edmonton Film Festival 2024, making it eligible for selection at the 2025 Academy Awards®. Lewis also earned the International Best Actor Award for his performance as “Ryan” at the Tokyo ShortShorts Film Festival.

Ryan Can't Read: The Oscar® Qualifying Film that redefines Liverpool.

In 2023, Lewis founded Scribble Pictures, a production company that platforms marginalised and disabled voices both in front of and behind the camera, building on his own experience as a neurodivergent creative.

Previously, he wrote and starred in the hit one-man show Cartoonopolis, which garnered critical acclaim in the press and is set to tour again for its 10th anniversary in 2025.

Lewis is involved in a number of exciting film and television projects set to air in 2025/26.
